The other two industries that have seen considerable growth in the same period are the construction industry with 4.3% and the leisure and hospitality industry with 1.1%.
Candidates can aim for high paying jobs in the healthcare industry, for example physicians and surgeons can earn up to $245,000 annually.As of December 2013, the top five largest employers in Chicago were the United States Government, the Chicago Public Schools, the City of Chicago, Cook County and Advocate Health Care.
