Columbus has currently got an unemployment rate of 4.3% which is 2% lower than the national average. A growing service industry guarantees that this trend will continue. The current growth is at 2.2% as at February 2015. The manufacturing industry has seen a decline in the period between September 2014 and February 2015, and it currently accounts for only 70,200 workers.
The information sector is not doing well in Columbus, and has minimal opportunities. It revealed a decline of 6.6% in February 2015, following a downward trend since September 2014.
